Battleship North Carolina Gets Donation for Repairs

The Battleship North Carolina was bought by the state and dedicated in 1962 as a memorial to the >10,000 North Carolina men and women who served and died during World War II. Duke Energy Foundation has donated $1 million toward the repair of the hull of the battleship. The donation is part of the effort to repair the ship and expand the complex in Wilmington.
