Dog Lovers Will Love the Dog Olympics on Saturday in Raleigh!
Did you know that dogs have their own Olympics? The 23rd Annual Dog Olympics takes place Saturday Sept. 13, 2014 at the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s campus in Raleigh. Events will be from 10:00am till 3:00pm with events such as “Best Trick, Doggie Limbo, the High Jump, Longest Tail, Musical Sit, Howling, and Rollover Rover”. There will also be a Paralympics Parade for dogs with spinal cord injuries. You don’t have to have a dog, everybody is invited. A free microchip clinic by the Raleigh Kennel Club will be onsite (one pet per family). The location for the event is the vet school at 1060 William Moore Drive which is near the intersection of Hillsborough Street and Blue Ridge Road (near the NC State Fairgrounds). Kids that love dogs will love this event. The Dog Olympics raise money for local animal rescue groups.
