Hurricane Arthur is still a Category 1 hurricane but may still strengthen into a Cat. 2 before making landfall later tonight. The latest track looks like landfall will be near Atlantic Beach, NC. Many people have already lost power. It’s a fast moving storm and should be gone by Friday morning. Rain bands have been coming ashore with heavy rain in the southeastern counties of North Carolina. Conditions at the coast are rapidly becoming worse with rain, wind and heavy surf. Officials warn of soundside flooding in the coastal counties. Many towns have curfews posted for safety reasons.
