MerleFest 2015 at Wilkesboro Community College
MerleFest in Wilkesboro at Wilkes Community College will be April 23-26, 2015. It is a popular music festival held each year that was started in 1988 in memory of the late Eddy Merle Watson, son of Doc Watson. MerleFest is a music festival celebration of ‘traditional plus’ music, a unique mix of music based on the traditional sounds of the Appalachian region The festival includes bluegrass and old-time music, Americana, country, blues, rock, folk and other more. The four-day festival has many different artists that perform on 13 stages. Just some of the many different performers this year include:
