NC Lakes That Offer Warm Weather Fun and Relaxation

NC lakes-North Carolina has a lot of lakes but some of the larger lakes in the state offer many different opportunities for warm weather activities like fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing or just plain riding and site seeing just for the fun of it.

Toward the western part of the state is Fontana Lake and Lake Lure; near Charlotte is Lake Norman; to the north is Kerr Lake and Lake Gaston; White Lake is a popular lake near Fayetteville; Jordan Lake is located near Raleigh; and to the east is Lake Mattamuskeet; and Cabin Lake is near Beulaville.

Whether you want to fish, swim, ski or just relax and ride around, somewhere close by is a lake in North Carolina that offers you some time to enjoy this beautiful spring time warm weather. Gas up the car (and the boat) and hit the road North Carolina. A day at the lake is just down the road. Have fun!

An Evening with Woodward and Bernstein at Duke Energy Center in May

An Evening with Woodward and Bernstein-find out what really happened in their own words.

On June 17, 1972 there was a break in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. The headquarters was in  the Watergate office complex. Richard Nixon was the president of the United States at the time and the Nixon administration was involved in the break-in and attempted to cover up its involvement in the crime for the next several years.

Two Washington Post reports at the time broke the Watergate scandal wide open. Hear Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein as they recall the Watergate scandal on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Fletcher Opera Theater at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh.
