The 22nd Annual Raleigh Convention Boat Show 2014 is Feb. 6-9 at the Raleigh Convention Center at 500 South Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC. The 4 day event is the largest boat show in the state of North Carolina with 40 exhibitors and more than 150,000 sq ft of boats on display. All types of boats will be on display and for sale:Fresh Water Boats, Salt Water Boats, Cabin, Deck, Fishing boats, Ski Boats, Wakeboats, Pontoons, Pleasure boats and Cruisers. Astronomy Days going on Saturday and Sunday Jan 25 and 26, 2014 at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science in Raleigh. Free admission. Astronomy talks and multiple exhibits by the Raleigh Astronomy Club, Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society, Duke Energy, Duke University, Media Arts & Sciences, Durham Area Rocketry Team, North Carolina Academy of Science, NC Science Festival & Morehead Science Center, and NC State University Astrophysics, plus more. Face painting and other fun activities for children.

The Omni Grove Park All That Jazz takes place this weekend in Ashville, NC. Starts Jan. 24- Jan. 26, 2014. Held at the Omni Grove Park Inn located at 290 Macon Avenue, Asheville, NC. One of the premier Jazz festivals of the Southeast. An all weekend event with jaz concerts in the Grand Ballroom and various other locations throughout the resort. Performers include Billy the Kid and Rockell Scott on Friday 1/24/14, Gerald Albright on Saturday 1/25/14. A jazz festival in NC that is sure to entertain.
