Chimney Rock State Park Open Again After Entrance Road Repairs Completed

After repairs to the entrance road to Chimney Rock were completed Chimney Rock is now open again. Heavy rain last year had caused damage to the entrance road, but repairs have been done and the park is now open again. Just in time for spring and warmer weather. 

Chimney Rock is the 315-foot high massive boulder located within Chimney Rock State Park in Rutherford County, NC. Views from atop Chimney Rock are just beautiful showing the gorge below.

Chimney Rock State Park is known for its incredible views from the top of its 315-foot tall boulder.

Duke vs UNC Basketball Game Tonight-Huge Rivalry

It’s called the Battle of the Blues, Duke vs UNC. The Duke Blue Devils play the UNC Tar Heels tonight in one of the best rivalries in college basketball. Plan to watch tonight if you aren’t going to the game. Game starts at 9:00 pm. The game is a home game for Duke with the Tarheels traveling to Durham at Cameron Indoor. Duke is ranked #4 and UNC is ranked #14. The ACC standing could be affected depending on the winner of the game. A win by Duke means they go into the ACC tournament a No. 3 seed, a win by UNC means they go into the ACC tournament a No. 2 seed.

301 Endless Yard Sale

The second annual ” 301 Endless Yard Sale” will take place in eastern North Carolina the weekend of June 20-21, 2014.The communities along US 301 will join together with deals, antiques, collectibles and more along Highway 301 between Roanoke Rapid to Dunn. For 2014 yardsale sites will be located in Halifax, Nash, Wilson, Johnson and Harnett Counties! Bigger and better than ever. This event last year was a huge success and very popular bringing in lots of yard sale shoppers for all over!

Many sellers will be located along the highway in established visitor sites like Riverside Mill in Weldon, the Tobacco Farm Life Museum in Kenly,and

Monster Jam at PNC Arena in Raleigh in April

Monster Jam is coming to PNC Arena in Raleigh for 2 days! April 11 and 12, 2014 Monster Jam monster trucks will have 3 different show times.

Monster Jam monster trucks, 12 ft tall and weighing 10,000 lbs, racing on a custom-designed track with obstacles to ride right over or just smash through.
World Champions to see there will be Monster Mutt, Grave Digger and Madusa. Also racing will be Hooked, Stone Crusher and Lucas Oil Crusader.
