US 158 Wright Memorial Bridge Work Starts Today

Work begin today on the  westbound U.S. 158 Wright Memorial Bridge over the Currituck Sound at the Currituck
and Dare county line at the NC Outer Banks. The NCDOT will close the westbound bridge for work. The eastbound side of the  bridge will be two-lanes with a two-way pattern. Work on the bridge will continue until May of 2014. Drivers are advised to pay close attention while in the area and look for signs with construction information. Drivers also need to expect delays.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is open without any road closures.
