Carowinds Adding New Mega-slides and Other Improvements for 2014
Carowinds plans to make improvements for the 2014 years with 2 new water slides. The mega-slides are the first phase of a multi-year, multi-million dollar
capital investment plan at the park. The slides will rise over 4 stories high and add 600+feet of sliding fun to Carowinds. Carowinds will also improve
the dining experience and food choices at the park providing people with a broader variety of food service options; more air-conditioned venues
and expanded capacity to feed and entertain the thousands of daily visitors at the park. The Carowinds 2014 season is going to be bigger and better than ever!

Day at the Docks in Hatteras Village
Day at the Docks event will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Day at the Docks was started to celebrate the “Spirit of Hatteras” when Hatteras Village had to recover from Hurricane Isabel in 2003. The day long event is a confirmation of the strength of community, heritage and living traditions of the waterman. There is music, food and games. Join in the fun!
